A traditional shoe atelier lined with handmade leather shoes

The Handcrafted Edit / Shoes

Made by hand.
Worn for years.

Three small ateliers. Vegetable-tanned leather. Soles that can be repaired, not replaced. A shoe should carry the shape of the person who wears it.

The atelier

Three days.
One pair.

We work with workshops of three to six people, not factories. The leather is cut by hand, the upper is lasted wet and the sole is stitched before the boot is finished.

Small imperfections are part of the material. A visible stitch, a variation in grain, a slightly different tone: these are the signatures of a person, not a machine.

01

LastingThe upper is pulled over a wooden last and left to set.

02

StitchingA hand-stitched welt joins upper and sole without glue.

03

FinishingEdges are burnished, waxed and polished by hand.

Why it matters

Buy less.
Keep longer.

Every pair can be resoled and reconditioned at our studio. We keep the lasts, the leather and the maker's notes so the shoe can return to the bench years later.
